Discrimination: Canadians missing from our WWI history.
Many Canadians faced discrimination during WWI. Indigenous Peoples, Black, Asian and Indian Canadians all lived through discrimination. When the war began in 1914 the military did not want to include minority groups, meaning they did not want to include anyone who wasn’t white and British/French. However, this discrimination did not stop people from joining the war effort. Your job will be to investigate and learn about a group of people who faced discrimination but contributed to the war effort anyway. Then you will choose a specific person and learn about their lives.
