1. Brainstorming sheet: what questions do you have after reading your book? Think of the political, social, gender issues etc... 2. Began your research to determine 6 GOOD research questions. Use the SRT Library website for your topic links. Your 6th question must make a modern connection to the topic (ex. What is happening there in 2017/18, how have things changed?) Your questions may change as you work through the project. 3. Included all of the resources you have used for your research. You must use at least THREE SOURCES and ONE of the sources MUST be a PRINT source. The Research Essay Present your information in a multi-paragraph format. You will need an introduction, 6 body paragraphs (one to address each of your research questions) to present your research, and a concluding paragraph. Each body paragraph should be approx.7-8 sentences. Look at the rubric attached for clarification. Research Topics Your essay does not make any direct connection to your Lit Circle novel. You are formulating questions that have arisen as a result of the novel you have read.
